At Orso, we firmly believe that our long-term success hinges on being good humans. At the end of the day, marketing is about human connection. Our Honey Money initiative is one core way we maintain that connection.
So this month, we asked Director of Technology Justin Hoffman where we should donate a portion of our profits. His choice: Chicago Chess Foundation.
This unique organization aims to “provide all Chicago youth with equitable access to chess education, empowering them with essential life skills for success on and off the board.” Their vision: To “positively change the lives of Chicago youth and contribute to the betterment of our community with the transformational power of chess.”

The transformational power of chess! We love that. Justin can speak to this power firsthand, because as he says, “Chess is a big deal in our house; our kids enjoyed going to the Chicago Chess Foundation tournaments for years.”
In addition to tournaments, Chicago Chess Foundation serves their mission through free (!) summer camps and after-school chess clubs during the school year. They reach students across Chicagoland with a special interest in underserved communities, and all programming targets participants’:
- Critical thinking skills
- Focus and dedication
- Ability to recognize individuals’ unique values and strengths.
- Ambition and leadership capabilities
Orso is proud to support this organization and invites you to join us in contributing this month!
