Rebuild Kerr: Supporting Flood Recovery in Texas’ Hill Country

Each month, as part of our Honey Money initiative, Orso makes a charitable donation to an organization that’s creating positive change. We often invite a team member or client to help select the recipient and this month we’re donating to Rebuild Kerr at the suggestion of our Director of Operations, Carolyn Blaschek.

“The destruction caused by the events in Kerr has weighed heavily on my mind,” Carolyn says. “Our thoughts are with the families who have been impacted, and I sincerely hope they find the support and closure they deserve in the wake of their loss. It’s an honor to support such a vital initiative that makes a real, lasting difference.”

Over the July 4 weekend, flash flooding along the Guadalupe River devastated parts of Texas in one of the deadliest flood disasters in the state’s history. Most of the losses were in and around Kerr County, with the death toll surpassing 100 in the days that followed. Families, local businesses, and campgrounds were all hit hard, and as recovery continues, residents are now faced with figuring out how and where to rebuild safely.
