Working to Stop Social Media Abuse with Social Protect

Spend any amount of time online and you’re bound to experience the worst parts of the internet in the comments on social media. Social Protect exists to change that, giving individuals, teams, and organizations a way to stay in the conversation while violent, racist, sexist, and other harmful comments are deleted in real time.

What is Social Protect?

Social Protect is a mobile app that automatically detects and deletes abusive comments as they appear so you and your followers never even see them. It’s available on both iOS and Android and can monitor comments on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Discord, with more networks planned for next year.

There are plenty of other benefits and features (e.g. custom keywords, quarantine zone, education hub, threat notifications) but perhaps the most impressive is how easy it is to get started. Making that claim is one thing, but Social Protect backs it up and wanted to show their audience firsthand.

The Onboarding Video

That focus on speed and simplicity is why we created this onboarding video. The goal was not to tell a long-winded story, but simply to show how easy it is to go from download to protection in just a few taps. Open the app. Register your account. Connect your profiles through a secure API. Then let Social Protect take care of the rest.

We partnered with our friends at JDB Productions to shoot and edit the piece, and brought in voice actor Jessica Taige for a clean, confident read that keeps the focus on the product. Longtime friends of Orso may recognize Jessica from her days running Jessie’s Nutty Cups, where she and her team handcrafted life-changing gourmet peanut butter cups.

The result of our collaboration is a straightforward video that demonstrates how easy it is to get started with Social Protect. No friction. Fewer distractions. Healthier comment sections. Peace of mind.

If your brand needs social-first video that shows how things work without getting in the way, we’re here to help. And if you’re looking to create a safer online experience for yourself and others, consider downloading Social Protect.
